Building Templates for Presentations with a Beautiful Design System
About M.AD Toronto
Miami Ad School Toronto asked me to build slides for their presentations using the wonderful design system created by Collins. There is a wonderful color system containing a range of pinks and secondary accents. I taught at the school for 7 years and enjoy working with the faculty, dean and owners. Our students have gone on to be recognized at Cannes and work at some of the very best advertising agencies all over the world.

challenge
Rebuilding parts of the brand deck using native assets so that grids and type hierarchy can be used without creating new settings. The brand typeface is not a free google font so google slides that platform was not an option despite it's convenience otherwise. The typeface is available through Adobe Creative Cloud and we were able to get files that the school had purchased so that these assets could be rebuilt in Keynote.

Collins created a broad range of organic shapes that resemble the letter M. And our office for whatever reason didn't get those files. So we were left trying to rebuild them as closely as possible. And some of the shapes had been auto-traced which didn't capture the curves properly. So I thought I'd ask the branding firm if they had those files and they provided a wonderful collection.
