A welcome to open minds before the pitch
Juniper Park, now TBWA Toronto · Agency lobby
Brief
Fill a large lobby wall on a tight deadline, before international client teams arrived for pitches, using the copywriter’s phrases.
Approach
“Come Play At The Park,” hand-lettered across the wall to set an open, playful mood before anyone reaches the boardroom.
Result
“Gives us some of that Ben Weeks magic!!”
Barry Quinn · Executive Creative Director, Juniper Park
Creative Review Award
A wall the whole office helped shape
DIALOG · Architecture firm
Brief
Approach
Built on a year of concept work by the in-house design team, and shaped by an employee engagement phase.
Result
“We’ve had staff and suppliers LOVE it. That’s a job well done!”
Karen Ng-Hem · DIALOG

Every farm behind the counter, on one wall
Brief
Toronto’s premium butcher, trusted by Michelin-starred chefs, wanted customers to see where the meat comes from.
Approach
A chalk map of Ontario marking each supplying farm, with a colour-coded legend for beef, lamb, pork and poultry. Ben shared a scaled sketch while the surfaces were prepared, so scale and placement resolved early.
Result
“Thanks to you too for your great art work.”
Stephen Alexander, Owner, Cumbrae’s
Stephen was named RGD DesignThinker of the Year, 2015

A booth wall drawn from visitors’ favourite sounds
Unitron via Concrete · AudiologyNOW! tradeshow, Boston
Brief
Give visitors to Unitron’s AudiologyNOW! booth a reason to stop, talk and take part, around the message “Because hearing matters.”
Approach
Visitors wrote their favourite sound on a card with a Unitron rep. Ben drew each one into the wall live through the show, so people came back to find their sound in the artwork.

A network drawn by hand
Brief
Chalkboard lettering and a network graphic for the foundation’s annual report, celebrating every arts intern from 2001 to 2012.
Approach
Drawn on full-size chalkboards, then photographed for print.
Result
“We sent a galley of the brochure to the client and they loved it! They really LOVE your illustrations too! They want the board with list of interns to put up in their boardroom.”
Brian Banton · Designer, The Office of Gilbert Li

Everything a future student weighs, on one board
Algonquin College · Viewbook cover
Brief
“Figuring things out”: what goes through a student’s mind while choosing a school, from residence, internships and financial aid to varsity basketball, study abroad and the walk to campus.
Approach
Drawn on a studio greenboard, mixing course names and campus towns with doodles of student life, then captured as a timelapse.
01
Sketch
Share your goals, photos and sizes of the space. Ben drafts a scaled sketch.
02
Revisions
You review the sketch. Ben adjusts scale and placement for your review and approval. Two rounds of revisions are included.
03
Final drawing
Ben draws on site in chalk, china marker, acrylic marker or paint.
04
Touch-ups
Ben refines details so the piece reads well from every angle.
“We absolutely loved what you guys produced and I know the guests loved it as well. Thank you, thank you!”
What would your wall cost?
Three short steps to a ballpark range.
Then tell Ben what you want the space to feel like.
A rough guess is fine. Ben measures before the sketch.
