Juniper Park lobby (now TBWA Toronto). The brief: fill a large lobby wall on a tight deadline, before international client teams arrived for pitches, using the copywriter’s phrases. The wall sets an open, playful mood before anyone reaches the boardroom. Creative Review Award. “Gives us some of that Ben Weeks magic!!” Barry Quinn, Executive Creative Director. Photo: Sarah Blais

Questions

What does a mural cost?

Projects start at $5,000. Price depends on wall size, detail and the material the surface needs.

How long does it take?

About three weeks: sketch, revisions, final drawing and touch-ups.

How long will it last?

Chalk lasts well where people do not touch or brush past it. China marker is wax-based and will not brush off, so it suits busy areas. Acrylic marker or paint suits pieces that need to stay for years.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit books your dates. The balance is due on completion.

Do you work outside Toronto?

Yes. Ben flies in for projects across Canada and abroad. Travel is quoted separately.
