The images shown are examples of my past work selected by the client for the treatment. We thought creating custom lettering would be our main challenge. But the client had us adapt an existing brush script to animate instead for time and budget reasons. I also created letter variations so each letter would be unique on each title card.
process
Once the art director approved the placement and letter form alternates, I animated the draw-ins in After Effects with my team. For animation we used the path tool to draw curves along the letterforms. (That curve was linked to a mask that reveals the lettering.) With the help of a freelance friend based in Brooklyn NY (Jeremy Leung) we were able to finish a lot of content in a fairly tight timeline.
